Who We Are
Founder and Principal
Robin Gerofsky Kaptzan
Robin is an international legal and business advisor with more than 30 years of experience across the United States and globally. She lived and worked in Hong Kong and Shanghai for over two decades and has led regional and cross-border projects of varying complexity for public and private companies, individuals, and family offices. She has keen attention for detail and a strategic approach to developing protective, well-considered solutions for her clients.
Robin is trusted by her clients to lead complex U.S. and cross-border, multi-jurisdictional engagements and provides general counsel, advisory, and fiduciary services to multinational corporations and early-stage businesses across a range of sectors. Her work includes M&A, market entry, corporate matters, integrating employment, intellectual property, regulatory, and dispute considerations.
Prior to founding Kaptzan Legal Solutions, Robin served as Partner and Asia-Pacific Chair at Zahn Law Global in New York City and previously as Senior Foreign Counsel at leading Chinese law firms in Shanghai. Drawing on bicultural experience and investigative skills developed early in her career as a New York City litigator, she guides clients through complex representations with clarity and confidence. Her multidisciplinary approach ensures all her clients’ needs are met.
Robin has held leadership roles within the American Bar Association International Law Section, served as a panel judge for leadership awards, and received recognition from multiple legal associations. She frequently speaks and writes on legal and business issues.
